A major software development company hired MLG to file an O-1A for an individual with extraordinary ability in science. The client was offered the position of 3D Graphics Researcher. In this role, he would focus on research and development for algorithms, geometry processing, 3D scanning, and fabrications.

Brief Summary of the Petition:

Firstly, we detailed the client’s research history. The client invented a novel method for 3D printers to accurately replicate and print human hair. Also, he found new algorithms to improve anti-aliasing, which makes digital images and videos look clearer and more realistic. His scholarly contributions advanced the field of computer graphics and were implemented by many gaming and film companies. For example, the Walt Disney Company. In addition, the client has a PhD and master’s degree in Computer Science from the Universidad de Zaragoza.

Secondly, we noted his publications. At the time of filing, the client had one granted patent and two pending patents. Furthermore, he authored published ten articles. Other researchers cited his work over 100 times. Moreover, we included the 12 published materials in major media and trade publications on his specific work, including reports from NBC News and GamesIndustry.com.

Finally, we included letters of recommendation from experts affiliated with major research institutions. Specifically, these institutions include Princeton University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. One letter wrote, “[the client’s] contributions to the international field of computer graphics are clear, from his number of academic publications to the volume of industry attention and his patents. Moreover, based on my work with him and my assessment of his research methods, it is clear that [the client] has established himself as a researcher with extraordinary ability in the field of computer graphics.”
