K. Lara Baharlo
Lara Baharlo is a Senior Attorney with Meyer Law Group and heads the firm’s Global Practice Group. Ms. Baharlo handles all aspects of employment-based immigration with a focus on visa petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences and business, E-2 Treaty Investors, and the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. She is highly experienced in family-based immigration, asylum and naturalization.
Ms. Baharlo also has an extensive background in immigration court practice and has represented individuals in removal proceedings before federal immigration judges throughout the United States.
Ms. Baharlo is a past Executive Committee member of the AILA Global Migration Action Group (now Global Migration Section) and has volunteered her time representing applicants for asylum through Public Counsel, the nation’s largest non-profit law firm.
Ms. Baharlo is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court, the United States District Court, Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Ms. Baharlo is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law where she was a Law Merit Scholar. Ms. Baharlo holds a MA in Central Asian Studies from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and a BA in Russian from Goucher College. Ms. Baharlo is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
